Angelo Imbrogno sits in his office at The BLUE DIAMOND Group, a financial services company, and is amazed by the letters, calls and cards he's received congratulating the company's staff on receiving the Darien Chamber of Commerce first Business Excellence Award. "We've been absolutely inundated," said Imbrogno, company president and owner. "We've always believed that what we do is rare in the financial services industry, and this is a confirmation of that hard work."
The chamber office received a number of entries. Imbrogno said he knew Blue Diamond made the top three but had no idea going into the award ceremony the company had won. So far, the award's gotten BLUE DIAMOND some notice. It's a good feeling, especially because other chamber members served as judges for the award, Imbrogno said. "We feel really excited that other people are taking notice of what we do," he said.
Imbrogno said staff members now proudly display the chamber trophy in the office. Based on the trophy design, it seems meant to be. "It's really neat and it's got a blue tint…just like our name…BLUE DIAMOND,"
he said with a laugh.
